Hobart Educational Foundation

About Us

The School City of Hobart Educational Foundation was formed in 1998 to create links between public schools, civic groups, government, business and interested citizens. Our purpose is to bring the resources of the community to the schools.

The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation organized to solicit, receive and allocate gifts, grants and bequests of money, property or services to enhance programs, activities, and facilities of the School City of Hobart, to establish partnerships with the business community for the benefit of the School City of Hobart and to enhance the bond between the School City and the community.

It remains committed to helping Hobart public schools find new sources of revenue and better prepare students to meet the challenges of tomorrow. The Foundation continues to provide funding for projects and programs within the schools, to create professional development opportunities for staff, and to support graduating seniors in their pursuit of higher education.

Since it’s beginning, the Foundation has provided approximately $281,400 in classroom grants, and over $182,500.00 in scholarships to graduating seniors. It continues to distribute funds for district-based projects and has contributed over $86,500.oo to support these intiatives.
